Background checks demand more respect

Symptom: A call from a Georgia business manager prompted me to write this article. His main concern was making sure we didn’t use a “Data base” search as the primary source of information. Recently that employer hired an applicant after running the employment background while using a “Database” as the primary search. After being hired the stuff hit the fan and the decision to use a “Data base”  failed the employer.

Emphasis: This particular incident is exactly why the CFPB or the “Consumer Financial Protection Bureau” does not want employers relying on information that was omitted, too old or not the applicant.

Cure: BestHire encourages employers to become educated, review options and make better decisions when components are laid out. We recommend the best sources available like most recent, accurate & confirmed.

Disclaimer:  January brought the “Consumer Financial Protection Bureau” as the US Federal Government has warned US businesses to be aware, there’s a new bureau in town. Spawned from the big mortgage mess that Fanny & Freddie started then created by Mr Christopher Dodd, then US Senator from Conn. “The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 (Dodd-Frank Act) established the consumer bureau.” So please don’t forget to read the “Learn More” page. www.ConsumerFinance.gov
